Onemda’s new innovation centre gains support
If elected, a Matthew Guy Government will contribute over $50,000 to finalise the fit-out Onemda’s new innovation centre in Doncaster East.
As a centre for learning and therapeutic development, Onemda has a proud 50-year history of supporting those with an intellectual disability from throughout the Manningham area.
This new centre highlights Onemda’s commitment to improving the lives of people with a disability by bringing them and their families together with researchers to find ways to break down the challenges that they face.
With the new centre scheduled to open next year, this support from a Liberal Nationals Government will contribute to promoting research and innovation, as well as purchasing equipment for the rehabilitation gymnasium and the warm water rehabilitation pool.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Disability, Tim Bull:
“It is always a pleasure to see the commitment of the many volunteers and staff who work at Onemda.
The Liberal Nationals appreciate the valuable contributions of organisations like Onemda who contribute to the important work of strengthening those in our community with a disability to lead a fulfilling life.”
Comments attributable to Member for Warrandyte, Ryan Smith:
“Onemda is a vital support service that prides themselves on engaging and empowering people living with a disability through learning and therapeutic development.
I am delighted to be able to offer support to this inspiring organisation, who are always thinking of ways to grow the experiences of those who are part of the Onemda family.”
