Crozier – Funding boost for the Mordialloc Community Centre

Funding boost for the Mordialloc Community Centre

The Liberal Nationals are committed to supporting our local community centres.

That’s why an elected Liberal Nationals Government will contribute $350,000 towards extending the main hall at Mordialloc Community Centre to allow more local families to continue using its services.

The Mordialloc Community Centre is a hub of activity with over 2000 families passing through its doors each week. The centre was established in 1964 by a group of community leaders, all volunteers, who recognised the needs of a rapidly growing Mordialloc.

Today the centre conducts a variety of sporting activities, as well as holiday, playgroup and seniors programs.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Families and Children, Georgie Crozier:

“Mordialloc Community Centre is a vital community service that provides much needed activities that are constantly evolving to serve community demand.

The Liberal Nationals appreciate the valuable contributions of community organisations like Mordialloc Community Centre who contribute to the important work of strengthening children and families within a vibrant and inclusive community setting.”

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Mordialloc, Geoff Gledhill:

“The Mordialloc Community Centre is a local icon.

For over 50 years it has proudly served the community through the tireless efforts of its wonderful staff and volunteers.

Today’s announcement will allow the centre to meet the growing needs of the local community well into the future.”
