Daniel Andrews must re-issue the 2015 Parliamentary schedule
With the release of the sitting days for the 2015 Parliamentary year, Daniel Andrews has exposed himself as being all talk and no action, according to Damian Drum, Shadow Minister for Veterans.
“Daniel Andrews talks a big game about honouring our veterans but he has failed to respect the importance of Remembrance Day by scheduling a parliamentary sitting day for 11 November,” Damian Drum said.
“This decision by the Andrews Labor Government has bitterly disappointed the RSL.
“The RSL wants Remembrance Day to be a day when all members of the community, including local parliamentarians, come together around the state to honour the men and women who have served and those who never returned home.
“As a former Shadow Minister for Veterans Affairs, Daniel Andrews should know better.
“Daniel Andrews should do the right thing by the RSL and the community and reschedule the 2015 parliamentary calendar,” Damian Drum said.
