Crime sees Melbourne drop as most liveable city
Victorians know it, Australia knows it and now the world knows it. Melbourne’s crime crisis is out of control under Daniel Andrews.
Because of a drop in crime, Vienna has today been announced as more liveable than Melbourne.
“…increases in Vienna’s ratings, particularly in the stability category, have been enough for the city to overtake Melbourne.” – Global Liveability Index 2018
The Global Liveability Index measures stability in terms of the “prevalence of violent crime” and the “prevalence of petty crime”.
Crime in Victoria has increased by 9.49% since Daniel Andrews was elected.
In Austria, carjackings and motor vehicle thefts are down 12.4% and burglaries from homes were down 24.2% from 2014-2016 according to EuroStat.
Comments attributable to Coalition Spokesperson, David Davis:
“Under Daniel Andrews crime is up, congestion is worse than ever and we are facing record power prices.
Melbourne is a great city burdened by a Labor Government that is too focused on desperate political stunts and not making our state safer.
Only the Liberal Nationals have a plan to make Victoria safe again.”
