Davis: Facelift for Patterson train station

Facelift for Patterson train station

Passengers along the Frankston line should feel safe to commute to and from work. That’s why the Liberal Nationals will invest $1.1 million into lighting and safety, toilet and seating upgrades at Patterson train station.

The improvements and revitalisation will also include an upgrade to the façade on the Patterson Road overpass and North Avenue side, maintaining the iconic tiled façade designed by local school children in the community.

For too long commuters using the Patterson train station on the Frankston line have been neglected.

Only the Liberal Nationals will invest in community safety on our train lines.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Transport, David Davis:

“Patterson and Moorabbin stations feel like the poor cousins as stations that have not received proper upgrades.

This revitalisation project will rebalance perceptions, restore community pride and discourage local vandalising that has occurred due to long term neglect here at Patterson station.”

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Bentleigh, Asher Judah:

“It’s not fair on local commuters that they continue to get left behind by the Andrews Labor Government.

I caught the train from Patterson station almost every day for ten years when I lived in this part of the Bentleigh electorate and it looks the same now as it did back then.

That’s why I’ve been working with Matthew Guy and his team on this massive package of works to Patterson train station.”
