Shepparton misses out under Labor again
Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan have announced plans for faster rail for Ballarat and Geelong.
But Shepparton misses out under Labor.
And to add insult to injury, not only does Shepparton miss out on faster rail but its residents will have to pay higher taxes so Geelong and Ballarat can get faster rail.
Alternatively under the Liberal Nationals plan, Shepparton will get a faster rail network linking Melbourne. Double the speed and double the services.
An elected Liberal Nationals Government will build faster rail between Shepparton and Melbourne slashing travel times from a current 146 minutes to 117 minutes, a saving of around 30 minutes.
On a roundtrip, that’s a time-saving of about an hour every day, leaving more time to rest and relax with family and friends.
Reaching speeds of up to 160 kilometres per hour on the Shepparton line, the state wide network will be the fastest in Australia. The Shepparton line has a current maximum of around only 115 kilometres per hour.
It’s obvious that Jacinta Allan and Labor are treating Shepparton as a small country town, not a regional hub.
At next month’s election, Shepparton voters will be able to send Labor a message they won’t be treated like this.
