Get Back in Control: 1,500 new car parking spaces for Ballarat
Population growth is out of control under Daniel Andrews and Labor.
Unplanned and unmanaged population growth is putting the squeeze on areas like Ballarat that are desperately short on car parking in the CBD.
Yet all Labor has done in four years is cut car parking.
Matthew Guy and the Liberal Nationals will get back in control of population growth by contributing $20 million to add an extra 1,500 free car parks in Ballarat’s CBD.
This contribution will create new car parking spaces and upgrade existing car parking infrastructure.
Daniel Andrews and Labor have cut over 50 car parks at the Ballarat Station.
Labor are cutting parking on the Civic Hall site with the building of their GovHub.
Labor plan to remove over 160 car parks from Mair St with their “redevelopment” plans that traders are up in arms about.
And Luke Donnellan, who lives in Fitzroy North, when in Ballarat in July this year said: “there are far too many car parks in the CBD vacant”.
You can’t trust Labor when their track record in Ballarat is to cut car parking at every turn, not increase it.
