Not an anniversary to celebrate
It was one year ago tomorrow that Daniel Andrews said he’d “ended” the CFA dispute.
One year later the dispute remains unresolved and according to Jack Rush QC, the counsel to the Black Saturday Royal Commission, the “ability of the CFA to mobilise the tens of thousands of volunteers to meet the threat of catastrophic bushfire as was done on Black Saturday is severely threatened by this legislation”.
Daniel Andrews is not only playing politics with the CFA, he’s also playing with the safety of Victorians.
This winner takes all mentality from the Premier is putting politics ahead of people.
As this dispute drags into its third year, Daniel Andrews can end it by withdrawing this divisive legislation now.
