3-strikes Minister leaves commuters, full-time job-seekers out
Today’s ABS Labour Force figures for August 2015 confirmed that Victoria had lost 7,800 full-time jobs since Daniel Andrews came to office.
Before the election, Daniel Andrews promised 100,000 full-time jobs within two years.
“The Back To Work Act – will support the creation of 100,000 full time jobs and will be introduced during the first sitting week of the new Parliament.”

“The plan will help create up to 100,000 new jobs in Victoria over the next two years.”

On the same day as the release of the jobs figures, commuters were left stranded by the third major public transport strike in as many weeks – and strike action by taxi drivers that blocked city streets.
Comments attributable to the Shadow Minister for Public Transport, David Hodgett:
As Minister for both Transport and Employment, Jacinta Allan is the worst-performing minister in the Andrews Labor government.
Jacinta Allan is good when it comes to politics but terrible when it comes to the policy.
With nearly 8,000 full-time jobs lost, public transport in a shambles and taxis blocking the city, Jacinta Allan is failing commuters and job-seekers.
