Labor’s contempt for regional Victorians continues
The Andrews Labor Government has again shown its utter contempt for regional Victorians by voting down the Liberal Nationals’ amendments to the Transport Legislation Amendment Bill 2018.
The Liberal Nationals fought to ensure 40 per cent of this revenue goes directly to regional and rural road maintenance and a further 40 per cent to maintain roads in outer suburban interface areas, and yet it was howled down by the Premier for Melbourne and his government.
Only a Liberal Nationals Government will fight for better roads in regional Victoria, including re-establishing the country roads and bridges program that Labor so harshly cut when they got into Government.
