Since December 7,100 full-time jobs have been lost in regional Victoria.
Australian Bureau of Statistics data released today shows that the Bendigo region has lost 4,500 full-time jobs since December.
The number of people in full-time jobs in the Bendigo region has fallen from 43,800 in December 2014 to 39,300 in August 2015.
Comments attributable to Shadow Treasurer Michael O’Brien:
“Under Daniel Andrews, Bendigo is bleeding full-time jobs.
“Daniel Andrews needs to get off his backside and work to create jobs in Bendigo, not lose them.
“Instead of creating new public holidays and making it harder for business, Daniel Andrews needs to make it easier for business to grow and people to work.”
