NSW continues to power ahead while Victoria stalls under Daniel Andrews
Today’s jobs figures confirm that the New South Wales economy continues to power ahead under Premier Mike Baird while Victoria’s economy is still drifting under Daniel Andrews.
According to the ABS, an extra 152,089 full-time jobs have been created in New South Wales over the past eleven months while just 21,606 full-time jobs have been created in Victoria over the same period.
Before the election Daniel Andrews promised to create 100,000 new full-time jobs in two years.
At the 11 month mark, Daniel Andrews should have created 45,833 full-time jobs. He is currently 78,396 full-time jobs short of his two year target.
The Victorian economy is drifting under Daniel Andrews while New South Wales has become the powerhouse of the national economy with strong jobs growth.
With a budget in deficit, increasing debt, a ballooning East West Link compensation cost and a failing jobs plan, Victorians are paying the price for Daniel Andrews’ economic failures.
