Report on Government Services

Victorians have never felt less safe in their homes and neighbourhoods according to a Report on Government services released today.
These figures confirm that Daniel Andrews’ soft touch on crime is affecting the quality of life of Victorians. The most basic job of any government is to make sure everyone feels safe in their own home and on that measure Daniel Andrews has failed.
There has been a reduction in the percentage of Victorians who feel safe which home alone at night, with Victoria slipping behind all states except Western Australia and Northern Territory. But at the same time, over the past two years, New South Wales residents feel safer.
Only 48.6% of Victorians feel safe walking alone in their neighbourhood during the night, the lowest figure since 2010/11 and the lowest figure of all Australian states (second last to the NT).
For the first time a majority of Victorians believe illegal drugs are a problem in their neighbourhood, with 53.2% stating it is a problem.
There is a law and order crisis in Victoria that Daniel Andrews has created but can’t fix.
