More storage for Ferny Creek Scouts

Scouts give kids skills for life.

That’s why a Liberal Nationals Government will continue to provide for local Scout groups, including providing $40,000 towards a new secure storage shed at Ferny Creek Scout Hall.

This grant will complement a full revamp of the hall being undertaken through local community fundraising.

Scouts groups provide huge value to children across the world including providing a team environment in which to learn and grow, boost a sense of community and form close bonds with their fellow scouts and scout leaders.

The Liberal Nationals will always support the great work of Scouts Victoria.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Young Victorians and Deputy Leader of The Nationals, Steph Ryan:

“The Liberal Nationals want to support scouts and guides because they give young people great skills for life.

John has been doing extensive work with his local scouts groups to help improve their facilities and encourage young people in the community to get involved.”

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Monbulk, John Schurink:

“Scout halls are used by a wide range of community, social and school groups, with more than 20,000 scouts in Victoria. This investment will deliver a secure storage space for scouts to store their equipment.

A Matthew Guy Government and I will ensure our hardworking scouts and guides around Ferny Creek will continue to get the support they deserve.”
