Liberals Nationals to fund a gymnasium at Clayton North Primary School

The Liberal Nationals are committed to supporting great education facilities for all Victorian children.

That’s why a Matthew Guy Liberal government will commit $1.5 million to build a new gymnasium at Clayton North Primary School with music and art rooms to give students more space for learning and physical activities.

Population growth is out of control and is putting enormous pressure on local schools like Clayton North Primary School.

This is a vibrant school community which takes great pride in its diversity and demonstrates an outstanding commitment to languages and experiences from all around the world.

Their requests for a gymnasium facility to benefit the school, and the wider community, have been ignored by Labor.

Only a Liberal Nationals government will give the students, teachers and families at Clayton North Primary School the facilities they deserve.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Education, Tim Smith

“Clayton North Primary School has not received the capital works funding afforded to some other schools, instead receiving very limited funds for outdoor beautification programs.

“Daniel Andrews’ treatment of this school shows his ‘education state’ slogan isn’t worth the number plates it’s printed on.”

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Oakleigh, Andrew Edmonds

“The Clayton North community takes great pride in its primary school and has done so since 1865. Under the direction of Principal Brian Mills, Clayton North has grown to the point where they need to provide an appropriate facility for assemblies, indoor sport, music and art.

“I am truly honoured to announce that an elected Victorian Liberal Government will support Clayton North Primary School to build a new school gymnasium where they can continue their great work as in integral part of this proud community.”
