Liberals to invest $400,000 into STEM classrooms at Briar Hill Primary School
The Liberal Nationals are committed to investing in STEM education in Victoria, which is why we will provide $400,000 to upgrade the maths and science classrooms at Briar Hill Primary School.
Melbourne’s population is now 5 million people and growing at an average of around 2,700 a week and it’s putting enormous pressure on suburbs like Eltham.
This funding will fix the neglect left by Daniel Andrews and his Education Minister, James Merlino who have left the school’s maths and science rooms in disrepair.
Briar Hill Primary School continues to provide a first class education for local students, but many of their building are aged and in a state of disrepair and desperately need upgrading.
These new facilities will create a state of the art learning environment for academic education and provide more classrooms to ensure local schools can keep up with population growth.
Only a Liberal Nationals Government will give the students and teachers at Briar Hill Primary School the facilities they deserve.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Education, Tim Smith:
“Now more than ever, it is important that we are at the forefront of funding education. Daniel Andrews has failed to deliver the ‘Education State’.
By committing to refurbishing STEM classrooms, we will give local students every chance they deserve to pursue a quality education.
Only a Liberal Nationals Government will rebuild the school’s maths and science classrooms giving the students and staff of Briar Hill Primary a safe and exciting learning environment.”
Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Eltham, Nick McGowan:
“The school is entering an exciting and bright new chapter and we will support the school by funding these projects.
The school has a strong focus on maths and science and will benefit from the new STEM classrooms.”
