Daniel Andrews pays $1 million to tell us what we already know
Victorians are paying one of the highest energy bills in the country thanks to Daniel Andrews failed energy plan – and Daniel Andrews’ response is hire a consultant for $1 million.
After a six month review on retail pricing, Labor’s answer has been to surrender its responsibilities to provide affordable energy to an energy broker for $1 million.
This is Daniel Andrews’ way of trying to handball the problem to someone else and won’t do anything to tackle the rising power prices Victorian families are facing.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Energy and Resources, David Southwick MP:
“Victorian families will once again get no help from Daniel Andrews as power prices continue to surge up.
“Victorians deserve reliable and affordable energy supply, and they need a Government that will provide that for them – not one that shirks their responsibilities like the Andrews Labor Government.
“Daniel Andrews knew that he would be ripping 22% of energy supply out of the market when he closed Hazelwood, and now he is trialling one failed stop-gap solution after another.”
