Philip Dalidakis beaten by his own hubris
Daniel Andrews’ Minister for Innovation Philip Dalidakis has been left red faced by his own hubris.
In October 2015, Dalidakis rushed out to the media to boast that he had personally stolen Australia’s biggest start-up tech conference from Sydney.
However it has now emerged that even after throwing $1million of taxpayers’ money at his push to steal the conference from Sydney, the conference will be held in Randwick, NSW.
Dalidakis even taunted his NSW counterpart, offering a ticket to come to Melbourne for the conference. What is clear now is that the only ticket Philip Dalidakis has to offer is the tickets he has on himself.
Victoria has already lost major events to other states under Daniel Andrews, including the Women’s Australian Open golf tournament and the Iron Man Asia-Pacific Championship. Victoria’s reputation as the major events capital of Australia is slipping away under the Andrews Labor Government’s ineptitude
