Regional industries deserve better than 11th hour approvals
On the last day before the official caretaker period begins, Resources Minister Tim Pallas has announced mining license extensions to the Fosterville and Stawell Gold Mines.
This announcement comes despite a backlog of mining license approvals on the Ministers desk, with Victoria’s extractive industries being frustrated by 4 long years of regulatory bottlenecks and cost blow outs under Daniel Andrews.
Labor has lost control of Victoria’s extractive industries and left all Victorians to pay the price. A future Matthew Guy led Liberal Nationals Government will provide 15 year mining license extensions for the Fosterville and Stawell Gold Mines and cut Labor’s bureaucratic bottlenecks which have undermined key projects like these for the last 4 years.
