Wakeling: More Mother’s Day bans in schools

More Mother’s Day bans in schools

There are more reports today of Victorian schools banning Mother’s Day celebrations in a worrying trend of Daniel Andrews politicising our schools.

Following on from yesterday’s reports about a Moonee Ponds primary school banning Mother’s Day celebrations, today it was revealed that a school in Ashburton is also scrapping its annual Mother’s Day stall.

It’s no wonder education standards are falling in Victoria.  Daniel Andrews needs to focus less on political correctness and more on lifting standards and outcomes.

Mother’s Day is about celebrating the maternal figures in our life and honouring their contribution.

Daniel Andrews needs to let kids be kids and stop his attempts to ban Christmas carols, fairy tales and now celebrating Mother’s Day.
