School demand in Victoria
Today’s reports about the increasing demand for more schools in Victoria are a sobering reminder about the consequences of Daniel Andrews’ financial recklessness.
Victoria’s population is growing by 100,000 residents every year, but the only new schools that will be opening are those that were funded by the former Coalition Government.
Daniel Andrews can’t escape from the basic truth that if he had not wasted $1.1 billion tearing up the East West Link contract, he could have built more than 60 brand new schools.
Labor has now been in government for 11 of the past 15 years. For Daniel Andrews to play politics and try the blame game is both dishonest and churlish.
